Kremlin Discography (incl. 3 tracks of upcoming 12", a liveset with 2 other new songs, a comp track)

Okay, another one of my favorite bands around right now. Kremlin from Toronto, Canada play lo-fi (hardcore) punk that's somewhere between Discharge, Terveet Kädet and some obscure Japanese bands like Sexual or Sodom. This download includes their whole discography to this point (at least to my knowledge). It includes their 2 Demos, the 'Will You Feed Me' 7", the track 'Leave Nothing Alone' form the 'People Mostly Suck It' comp, a live set with really good sound quality from a radio show that includes 2 brand new songs, and a preview for their upcoming 12" that includes 3 new songs. Also they are on tour soon, go to a show if they play near you.

Picked Clean - Discography

Party Punks Fuck Off! Midwest Wolfpack in full effect!
Why is this band so underrated/unkown?! I don't get it. Raging fast, ultra pissed and desperate hardcore from Indianapolis, somewhere between Let Down, Negative Approach and SSD. One of my favorite Bands around right now. This download includes their whole discography to this point (at least to my knowledge). Unfortunately the the song titles from their 2009 Demo are missing, if you know them please contact me (I know, a lot of the demo songs are also featured on the LSHR 7" but there are still 1 or 2 names missing). The tape from 2010 has no song titles either, but that's because there are no song titles at all on the tape. Other than the two tapes this download includes the Life Sucks Hardcore Rules 7" from 2010 and the S/T 7" from 2011.
My favorite release is the Life Sucks Hardcore Rules 7". When you listen to it you think that the only lyrics are "Fuck you, I'm sick of you!" and that's exectly what the music tells you. Actually it has more lyrics than that, you can check the lyrics for every release ,other than the Demo, on discogs.
You can still buy the S/T 7" from Six Feet Under Records, so do that if you like it.

No Tolerance - Victimized (Previously Unreleased Track)

'Victimized' is an out-take from the 'No Remorse, No Tolerance' Session. It was released on the Discography LP that came out on Quality Control for the euro tour. I think you can still get it at some mail orders, or you buy it on ebay for over 40€. I ripped it from the record, but it turned out pretty good.

Won't Belong - Demo

Oh shit! How good is this demo tape?!?! Raw, angry, female fronted hardcore punk in the vein of Negative Approach or SSD, that sometimes really reminds me of F-Minus. I downloaded it a few months ago and thought it was pretty cool right from the start. But it wasn't until recently that I realized how awesome it really is. I was driving in my car when 'Expectations' came on shuffle, I wasn't sure if it was F-Minus or Won't Belong at first, but what I was sure of was that this is probably the best song I've heard in a while.

Habitual Offender - S/T Tape

Habitual Offender is a two man powerviolence project of Kyle DeVille aka Senor Bubbles (GTM, GBNF, Growing Stronger) and Ian Shelton (Stress X Relief, Drug Culture). I can't tell you who of them is playing which instrument on the tape, but I can tell you that both are doing vocals. First I thought it was a guy and a girl doing vocals, but well, when I first heard Get The Most I wasn't too sure if it's a guy or a girl singing either. But don't get me wrong, you can't compare his vocals in GTM to his vocals on this tape in the least. 7 songs in 3:38 min. If you like powerviolence you should really download this. It will come out on Mind Melt Records, if you like it buy a copy once it's out. Oh and this is not the whole tape as one mp3 file, like you get it in their bandcamp, I cut it into individual songs.

Beware - Live at TIH 2012 + Discography

First I wanted to make this post just to post the TIH set, but fuck it, I will post all of their stuff so that if you don't know the band, you can download their stuff and not have to search the internet for it. Beware are members of Let Down, Mother of Mercy, Stick Together etc. playing Youth Crew Hardcore in the vein of Chain Of Strength or Mouthpiece. For sure my favorite YC band around right now. From just hearing the recordings I would have never guessed that this is Bob Wilson of Let Down doing vocals. I love how on the live set he's screaming more than on the record and you can hear that it's him a little better. I downloaded the live set from hate5six and cut it into individual songs. You can download and watch a lot of other TIH sets there, check it out. You can still buy their 'Won't Get The Best Of Me' 7" from Back To Back Records or Control Records. The 'Lost Cause' song is from the 'America's Hardcore Vol. 2' comp which will come out on Triple B Records.

Sex Drive - Urban Predator EP

Sex Drive from Holland feature members of numerous legendary bands from the Benelux countries like Mainstrike, Justice, Downslide and so on. But STOP, forget about that, because Sex Drive is nothing like any of the bands mentioned before. Sex Drive are playing raw, raging fast early 80's hardcore punk that leaves nothing but chaos in your head and the urge to click play over and over again.
To quote SWNK: "If I didn’t knew the guys in the band I would expect them to be big bald guys with hardly any teeth, wearing torn up jeans, Doc Martens and patches of Negative Approach and Necros."
Now don't be a poser, download what is for sure one of the best records this year already. Also, buy it if you like it, first press is limited to 200 copies.

Edit: I fixed the link.

Impact Unit - My Friend The Pit (Different Versions)

Favorite Boston band! I hope they don't need no introduction, anyway if you haven't heard of them check out their lastfm bio or something.
Did you know there are two different versions of these recordings? When I got it on vinyl I was surprised that there was a reverberation on the Nightstalker vocals. I asked Crucial Pete about it but he had no clue either. He told me that he used the master tape he got from the band and he haven’t remastered it. Maybe it got remastered for the CD version on Big Rig Records? I don’t know. Anyway, here are both versions:

Hard Stripes, Peacebreakers, The Flex, Violent Reaction

4 Bands, 1 Post!
4 really cool, more or less, new bands that only have a demo out by now. I recommend you to download all 4, because if you don't know these bands you're missing out.

Hard Stripes are a band from Richmond featuring members of Hounds Of Hate, Creem and Fire & Ice. The intro of the demo is the American National Anthem and the last riff of the demo is a 'Crucified' rip off, so I think you know what you're getting here. Shave your head and swing chains at hippies.

Peacebreakers are a band from Boston featuring members of Boston Stranger, Waste Management, Scapegoat etc.. They play early 80's influenced hardcore punk in the vein of Negative Approach.

The Flex are a band from Leeds, UK, they play early 80's Boston influenced hardcore in the vein of Impact Unit or DYS. The demo was recorded in their basement with karaoke mics.

Violent Reaction from Liverpool, UK started as a one man project, but it looks like it's becoming more and more a real band. "More influenced by Discharge, Poison Idea and Blitz than the likes of Youth Of Today, VR is for those who like their straight edge hardcore a little more antisocial"

Pettybone - From Desperate Times Comes Radical Minds

Ever wondered what it would sound like if you threw Nirvana and F-Minus into a blender? Yes, me neither. Well, these four girls from London are here to show us anyway. You get 10 pissed off hardcore punk tunes with some really dragging grunge elements that fit the sound just perfect, all rounded off by the really cool vocals that are sometimes sung and sometimes screamed. A pretty perfect record if you ask me.

Wardogs - Live In Essen

I think Wardogs don't need an introduction anymore. This is a live recording of their show in Essen on the 3rd August 2011. The recording was available on tape at their last show at CTW Fest 2. The tape was put out by CTW Records and is limited to 50 copies .

Swamp Thing - Demo 2006

I know, Swamp Thing are not really an unknown band, but their demo is pretty underrated/unknown. That's a shame because it's my favorite release from them. If you ask me, they dimished a little more (musically and lyrically) with every new record they've put out . I wish progression would have skipped them over!
I was 16 (or maybe had just turned 17?) when I first heard them and it immediately blew me away. The anger, the speed, the passion and above all, the lyrics. They were just as pissed off at the world as I was.

Too pissed off and I don’t know why
Too stressed out I could almost die
Parents expecting too much of me
I’m not a fucking trophy just leave me be
I’ll never wear a shirt and tie
The Bush administration I will not buy
So fuck your van and your soccer team
I’ll never make it alone in the county
I’m sorry mom, I’m sorry dad
For whatever future you thought I had
College, Eagle Scout, what the fuck?
Stress cracks are forming, and not from my trucks
One more thing and I’ll lose my mind
Eighteen is coming up and I can’t stop time
Not too long before I’m told to move on
Eighteen is coming up and I’m barely holding on.
Will not live life in a cube
Will not wear the corporate noose
Will not achieve your dreams.
Your dreams are just as fucked as mine

Sectarian Violence - Conflict Of Interest

If you don't know who Sectarian Violence are by now you're really missing out. Scroll down this blog a bit and you'll find a post which tells you a little more about this band.
This is their newest recording which was available on tape on their recent European Tour and from CTW Records. I think there are still some left at CTW Bigcartel, so if you don't already own it, go and buy a copie. It's limited to 150, I think, but it will be released on an other format sometime in the future. The second download link is the S/T EP again but this time it's not a rip from the 7", but the actual mp3's with good quality. You can still buy the 7" from Grave Mistake Records. If you like it, buy it to support the band and the label! If you live in the US, make sure to catch SxV on tour with Poison Planet in June. Here are the dates:

Death Or Glory

THIS IS RUHRPOTT NOT NEW YORK
It's sad that Agnostic Front became shitty after Victim In Pain, but at least there are bands that picked up where AF left off, Death Or Glory is one of them. One of the best if you ask me. They have this real VIP vibe that always gets me. The songs are mostly mid-tempo with some faster parts, in the vein of Last Warning or Power. The EP has 11 songs in 8:30 min, so you know what you're getting. This download contains their demo and the Your Choice EP, that's their whole discography. You can still get the EP at Crucial Response Records, I highly recommend you to do so. It's really worth getting it on vinyl + you'll support a really great label!
